About Me

Sandra Crawford
I was hooked! From the first day of the instructional materials class at teachers’ college, I was absolutely fascinated by how well designed, learner-centric teaching products could make a dramatic difference to whether or not learning objectives were achieved. This fascination has led me to this point of completing a master’s degree in Instructional Design and Technology.

After graduating from teachers’ college with a diploma in Music and Information Science, I then completed a B. Sc. in Mass Communication (Public Relations) and a minor in Marketing.

My extensive experiences in communication and education have convinced me that anyone who wants to deploy strategies and create environments that help others to learn should pay special attention to not just the cognitive and psycho-motor aspects, but also to the affective domain that governs values and attitudes. No two learners are alike. As an instructional designer I am committed to mixing and matching my knowledge of learning theories, distance education theories, learning styles and other considerations to come up with an engaging blend for each unique learning situation.

In my role as a college instructor I am also committed to collaborating with other faculty members to improve their teaching and learning activities by providing group and individual training in integrating new technologies, assisting with multimedia design and development and generally serving as a technology resource person.
I continue to grow as an instructional designer.
